| - I've been going here off and on for years and every time, although I tell myself I'm not going back, somehow I end up back there. This most recent time I was having abnormal pain and couldn't get in quickly enough with my 1st choice Dr. so I made an appt at VWFW as they were able to get me in the next day. I went in, they took a urine sample and I was shown to a room. The NP was nice enough but she basically dismissed my concerns as being related to another medical issue I'd had previously without really checking anything. After some pushing on my part she agreed to schedule me for an ultrasound the next day. I went in for the ultrasound and was ultimately told I had a large cyst on my ovary that would either explode painfully or go away...who knows. I also gave a 2nd urine sample. The NP I saw that day told me to just basically wait things out with the cyst and suggested I come back in 6 weeks for a follow up. I went home and later that night was in excruciating pain. Went to the ER and had another ultrasound done. Turns out it was an ectopic pregnancy on the same side as the cyst and I was rushed into surgery. All of that being said, I feel that it's very concerning that I was given 2 urine tests and an ultrasound and never once was I told I was pregnant, let alone in a way that was life threatening. Looking over previous reviews, it seems the main concern is that the staff is uncaring and rushed and that, many times, problems are overlooked. This is my experience as well. I would advise against going here. Look for a doctor that isn't rushed and who will treat you as a person rather than a patient or a burden, really. On a side note, I was handed a card during my appointment asking me to leave a Yelp review because they are "trying to improve their service", so at least they are acknowledging at some level how poor their service is. That is worth one star.
