  • It was really hard for me to decide what to rate Beaver Choice, which is why I didn't write anything after only the first time going there. We have been there on three separate occasions now and have had very different experiences each time. The first time that we went in it was just me and my fiancé. He had browsed the menu and had been wanting to try it for months so we went. Well, we were seated at a table, however a server never came to ask if what we wanted for drinks or for our meal. After waiting for over 15 minutes we simply got up and left. The second time, my fiancé had suggested a few different restaurant to his parents and they wanted to get Polish food, so they chose Beaver Choice. We warned them that the service is terribly slow, but we went anyway as they insisted on it. Our service, as expected, was not good, however overall, we had a good dining experience. We ordered quite a few dishes including the Regular Chicken Schnitzel, Chicken Vladimir, and Swedish Sampler. The portion sizes were massive as the main menu item was served with one warm side dish and three side salads of our choice. Everyone really enjoyed the food. I was actually the one who wanted to go back a third time (technically second) to Beaver Choice. It looked like there have been some changes made, because all of the servers were different this time. Although I wouldn't say it was a huge improvement, I would say that it was quite a bit better than the last time! We were greeted immediately after we entered and were told we could sit at any table we wanted. Our server brought water to our table but it took a while for her to come back around to take our order. I liked the Regular Chicken Schnitzel enough the first time that I actually got that again with the dill mashed potatoes, house salad, potato salad, and broccoli. My fiancés first choice, the Salmon Lasagna, is apparently not available until September (not noted on the menu), so he got the Hunter Chicken Schnitzel with the garlic-leek smashed potatoes, green beans, potato salad, and broccoli. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as we remembered it being the last time, however overall still good. I will say that the chicken schnitzel here is better than I have found at other places. The sides on the other hand were just okay. Our waitress did check in on our food (after I asked) and let us know that it was coming, but that they have only two cooks and it takes a while since everything is made from scratch. Our whole dining experience took nearly two hours; because the food is good, I would be willing to come back here, just not frequently.
