| - Easter Sunday, we wanted brunch and went to the distillery area, hoping to go to Le Petit Dejeuner.
Due to some unexpected problem that day, said restaurant was closed.
Walking, looking for a place to satisfy our hunger and eager to try something new, we came across Cafe Uno.
It is a clean, relaxing, charming little place, with a simple menu that satisfied our brunch needs.
Service was good and quick, probably what helped here was that the place was almost empty, as the distillery was that morning due to the holiday.
The french toast was really unique, tasty, very very good. Highly recommended - I'm not a french toast lover, in fact, usually try to avoid it, but since we tend to both order different dishes to try each other's, I was very surprised and pleased with it. It was a nice portion too, and for a reasonable price. Since we both felt the same way, I give it a 9/10 for now (always have to leave room for hope that there's a better one to be had out there)
Their lattes didn't disappoint - but nothing special about them either. 7/10
The frittata (parmesan, sundried tomatoes, artichokes) came with a nice and light salad and a couple of pieces of garlic butter/parmesan cheese toast. To be picky, I'll say that perhaps the parmesan cheese was loosely used, making it just a bit overpowering. But it was overall good. 7/10
It was a good meal for the right price. At least for brunch, this will remain on our list of places we'd go back to.
