  • I found Ahena on Instagram after seeing her consistent work with balayage on dark hair. My hair is naturally dark brown, but I was very light blonde for about 2 years and it damaged my hair in the process. I went back to brown on my own and let my hair rest from bleach for 6 months. I was ready to start lightening my hair again in April. Ahena did a great job getting my dark brown hair very light on my first session without compromising my hair integrity or making it brassy. I just went back in for a second session today and had highlights put in throughout the previous balayage that she did and I love it. I wanted something low maintenance that didn't require regular root touch ups every 6 weeks, and so far my hair growth looks very natural due to the awesome blending she did. The salon is located in the Phenix Salon suites, and she has complimentary water bottles/soda and also food to purchase if you get hungry during a long session. It is such a cute set up in her studio salon space, and Ahena is very laid back and sweet. I also took my teenage daughter to her, and she was very happy with her hair coloring. Ahena has always exceeded our expectations compared to what we have requested on pictures. I highly recommend her!
