| - Find this trail off of State Route 159 about 2.6 miles southwest of the exit of the 13-Mile Scenic Drive at Red Rock. I actually thought I was at Oak Creek, which is also off of SR 159, but my friend and I found ourselves here instead. This was a nice surprise because I've never been here before. This is what happens when I try to hike without our hiking guru, Norm K., but we still had a great time. There is a nicely groomed trail and you basically just follow it as far as you want. Of course Norm asked me how the waterfall was and I replied, "What waterfall?" We obviously didn't get that far and/or I didn't know where to go to see one. My friend, who'd never been here, either, and I just walked any which way we wanted until we were done exploring and turned around. Lots of rocks, cacti, views of Red Rock, little streams created from some rain we'd had, and other hikers were seen that morning. That's what's great about these trails: you can just meander (for the most part) and enjoy Mother Nature until you've had your fill for the day and head back until the next time. Of course the next time I'm going with Norm.
