Where to start... the reviews for this place are bi-polar on yelp and it's deservingly so for this location. With the quality spotty and indifferent bored service, I really dont want to give this place a 2nd chance and rather try another (any) spot in GTA West for bubble tea.
So this really popular chain has set up shop in the dying South Common Centre. It's in the food court and compared to other Real Fruit Bubble Tea places, this store is really bare bones... not that decor means anything on the taste of the bubble tea, but it feels like an after thought... maybe not even a thought at all.
Their menu is just like all other places so I got the Mango Diamond drink which is a mango slushie (no dairy) with mango chunks and boba. Also got the coffee milk tea. Price wise... its fair and comparable to other places around GTA... if anything, because they used real mango for my drink, I almost seem to be good.
Mango Diamond - Blended mango with real mango chunks... the drink itself is actually pretty good. It tastes like a really good dried sweet mango in slushie form. So what's the problem? The boba... clear undercooked. They were like stale old hard gummies in the middle. It definitely wasn't good. It's too bad as the drink itself was nice. 3.5/5 ... downgraded to 2 cause of the boba wasn't edible.
Coffee milk tea - Totally appreciated how they used real coffee and not just powder for the coffee part. I would say that the coffee flavour could be more pronounced and less watery but it was decent. There was one thing that was wrong... the boba like in the Mango Diamond. Not good and completely undercooked. Ugh. 2/5
Save your money... unless they vastly improve the drinks, this one is a skip.
