  • Had my husband not surprised me with the pie making class, I would have told him not to sign us up. But, bless his heart, he wanted to do something "fun & different" for date night. Let's start with the positives... the instructor was knowledgeable, friendly, & gave good directions. I got to spend time with my husband & eat a pie with some ice cream at the end. Other than that, this class was a total waste of time & money. We had to share a station with another couple. Complete strangers to us. So there were 4 people per prep table...but only 1 rolling pin, 1 mixing bowl, 1 cherry pitter... you get the idea. The prep station was really only set up for 1 person :/ Unfortunately for us, the couple we had to share our table with never learned how to share :/ They hogged the station, equipment, & ingredients. I literally did zero prep during this class because I didn't want to be confrontational. My temper has gotten me arrested more times than I care to admit. My husband, though, eventually elbowed his way in & got a chance to roll out some dough (which were pre-made), pit some cherries, & fill our pies. The other couple glared at him & mumbled under their breath. For real though?! :/ You should know how to share & have some common courtesy by the time you are in your 40's, people! Holy moly! So for $70/pp (I think), we got a small fruit pie, a hand pie with the same fruit filling (cherries, blueberries, strawberries, & nectarines), a savory pie (made with cheese, tomatoes, & basil), weak coffee, some ice cream...& a whole lot of aggravation. Not worth it! At that price point, each couple should have their own prep station at the very least. Would not recommend coming here for date night or for any other reason.
