| - I had 4 tires replaced on 3/4/17 and at 1st was charged over $200.00 than the quote. The manager, Charles, after seeing my quote told me "Remember we discussed that we had to change to different tires as we were out of the ones you requested". I didn't remember but he got the price reduced to only over $40.00 of quote. I also lost the lifetime warranty on the tires with the price change. 2 weeks later I called "Charles" telling him I was getting a shimmy between 65-70 mph. His reply was run the new tires for around 5000 miles and then return if the shimmy was still there. At 940 miles, 5/4/17, I returned and said the shimmy was to much. Big-O then rebalance and rotated the tires. Now, Charles tells me,"Oh" by the way, "your front struts are leaking and should be replaced, as that could cause your shimmy." He then mentioned" we had discussed that when we replaced your tires" I said no we didn't. Charles said, " Yes it's on the repair sheet. Note: 2nd time he mentioned that we discussed it. I produced the repair sheet and there was nothing pertaining to struts. He then made this statement," Oh the ink from the printer must have run out and didn't print it." Of course there were more words printed on the form all the way to the bottom of the sheet. Charles also was suppose to call me with prices on the struts that day and never did and I haven't heard from him since.Today is 5/10/17. I took my car to Discount Autos per advice from a friend and they checked my tires out for balance and rotation. The manager at Discount Autos said " 1 tire had zero weights on it. 1 tire had 2-2oz weight on only 1 side", they decided to remove all weights and do a high speed balance. Results as of today 5/10/17, ZERO shimmy. Problem fixed. Note: had Discount Autos manager look for the front Struts leaking. No leaks apparent. If you go to Big-O's on Charleston, BEWARE of manager saying, "remember I brought that to your attention".
