We went to this restaurant on Friday during our lunch hour. I had wanted to come here since we pass it on our way out of the mall frequently. I had read the past reviews and was a bit skeptical about coming to eat here, but I purchased a Living Social coupon, so I brought some coworkers with me to review it.
We were seated immediately because it wasn't busy (2 couples and us). Our drinks were brought out promptly, then our orders were taken as we enjoyed the seasoned chips and yummy salsa. The reviews on the salsa have not been great so I was a little worried.....good salsa is a must! I thought it was flavorful and I couldn't stop eating the chips.
It took quite a long time for our food to arrive, but my food was hot and tasty (by the way, street tacos are supposed to be a bit on the smaller side), which is what I had. The fish street tacos to be exact. They were very good with a cream sauce and mango salsa on top. When we were finished, we waited for another long period of time to be recognized so we could pay our bill. Finally we paid and as we walked out we could see the patio was about 3/4 full, so I kind of felt like we were forgotten about since we were sitting inside.
All in all I felt like the food was pretty good, but service lacked. The wait staff was nice, but it seems they are understaffed. We only saw the two same waiters for the entire restaurant.
I probably would not return on my lunch hour since you cannot go here on restricted time without getting back late. I may go back in the evening to hear live music and have a drink.
