While the course was maintained well they are quite greedy. We booked a time at 6:45am last Monday and expected to play relatively quick. To our dismay we made the turn and the starter had sent groups out on the back nine. We played the front in about 1 1/2 hours. As we made the turn we were stuck behind 3 groups. One in the fairway, one on the green, and one on the next tee. This comes across as greed from our perspective. We specifically choose early tee times to not only play quick but also beat the heat. This was our first experience at Keirland and to be honest will probably be our last. The point of an early tee time is to finish at a reasonable time and to beat the heat not to play a 5:15 hour round.
Update 6/18/18
They reached out to me and apologized for the inconvenience and explained that they always send people out on the back 9 because it is a 27 hole course. While I appreciate the phone call and the offer for us to come back I still think that information should be made public on their website. If you don't want to be stuck behind people on the back 9 ask to start on "Keirland 2" hopefully that helps any further confusion and frustration.
