I purchased my vehicle here three years ago and the salesman was great. Have not had to deal with them as I've been changing my own oil. Decided I didn't want to deal with the heat this time so made an appointment at Gateway Chevrolet to have an oil change and tire rotation.
I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and sat and waited for 1.5 hours and noticed my truck sitting out in front of the building complete. I waited another 15 minutes and wasn't called so I walked out and seen my service adviser making copies. I asked if my truck was ready to go and he said "I'm with another customer, when I'm done I'll get you taken care of". I waited another 5 minutes while he finished up with the customer and while he was finishing up there were several other advisers sitting in their offices with no customers. I've been there now for 1 hour and 45 minutes and there is no reason I should have to sit and wait for one guy for 20 minutes after I noticed my truck complete and parked in front of the building. Why can't someone else get me on my way?
I let him know I was now late for another appointment and he said "I'm only one guy and I'm working as fast as I can". He's getting paid to sit there, I'm not so I could care less if he's busy, get someone else to get me going. An oil change should not require 2 hours from the time it is dropped off to the time I drive away.
I was in such a rush to get to my next appointment I just jumped in and drove away. When I got home and got out of the truck I noticed I had grease stains all over my light grey cloth drivers seat. I also had all kinds of greasy hand prints over the light grey door panel and door handle. Took me over an hour working on the seat and it all didn't come out.
I called the Service Manger to let him know and got his voice mail where I left a message for him to call me back. Never heard from him and it has been two days now.
I'll be finding another dealer for my service and I'm getting ready to trade this vehicle in and it won't be at Gateway Chevrolet.
