| - I love Mediterranean food. Their cuisine always tastes of the sun-kissed shores, where olive trees dot the rugged hills and goats wander around nibbling on grass. I've tried most of the Mediterranean/Greek/Levantine/Turkish places in Madison, and I find this place the best. I think it's because their grilled meats are more well-flavored than elsewhere, the service is fast and inexpensive, and they have many of my favorites, including moussaka and baklava. Also the hummus is particularly good. I like my hummus a bit more garlic and chunk, and that's how this restaurant does it. But more than their generally delicious food is that they have an incredibly fragrant sweet mint tea that I believe is a specialty of Algeria, where I think the owner is from. It's not quite traditional Moroccan mint tea, because this tea is made from black instead of green tea, but the fragrance and sweetness is just as wonderful. On a cold day, when I'm feeling lonely and want a comfortable space to be, I come here for lunch and sip a warm cup of their tea.
