  • Where have you been all my life! I love The Old Fashioned. It is straight out of Father Knows Best, yet updated for modern tastes. The interior decorating is classic '50's, down to the old Life Magazine ads on the walls. The menu is full of old favorites, many of them updated. I started with an Elderberry Old Fashioned, a delicious take on the traditional Wisconsin favorite. For dinner I had the No. 65 - chicken and biscuits while my daughter had the No. 51 - mac and cheese with bacon. Both meals were huge portions (and leftovers went home with us) and delicious. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Madison to have lunch or dinner at The Old Fashioned!
