  • Half price tickets 50% off have discount only applied on base price excluding 9% tax and fees. With broker fee $7 per ticket on top of $30 show, total doesn't quite amount to savings expected. Some shows offer 50% at box office without broker fees, total $38 vs $47 at tixtonight booth. Dashed customer expectations deserve 1 rating, only salvage extra star to 2 becos customer rep call to explain breakdown of tax and broker fees, which still is bummer. Another major downside is that you only get a voucher that requires arriving an hour early at box office to redeem, at risk of non-choice poor seats. Not as good as NY TKTS discount booths offering better seat selection at lower fees. Remember to check broker fees for any discounted or half price ticket offers!!
