| - Less than 1 star. Let me first say that I have used Budget truck rentals several times in the past and have been quite satisfied with price and service. However, this time I am beyond dissatisfied and completely rethinking ever using them again. Thoughtless and irresponsible are the words that I am using to describe my experience at this moment. What is a reservation for??? I have a truck rental scheduled for tomorrow, for a one way truck rental with a 7:30am pick up. The move is from Las Vegas Nevada to Napa California. Movers scheduled to load said truck at 10am.
I called to confirm the truck readiness this afternoon 12/16/2016, and to confirm hours of operation for this reserved location.
I have spoken with Bentley, Julian, Daniel, Dimitir, and Thomas,(in a string of passed along "I'm sorry there is nothing I can do" conversations), and have been informed that "they have no truck". A supervisor of Julian's would contact me before 5pm to see if they would be able to assist me. It is now 8:40 pm and no call from the supervisor. I have been told by Julian that I have been put on a wait list for an Inventory Manager to call me back.
Another call by me to this location at 5:05pm, was made to Dimitri who handles truck rentals, he then patched through to Thomas "who he was sure would be able to help me" (somewhere in a customer service location), who confirmed that I was on a wait list , and that "they should be calling anytime, and I should free the line for the call" (I am still waiting and it is now 8:41pm), or that it should be before 10am on Saturday morning.
Again my confirmed reservation pick up time is 7:30am, my movers arrive at 10am Saturday morning. At this point I am still waiting for Budget to contact me and rectify this matter. I have movers to consider, (people that rely on a schedule to make their living, feed their families, etc., their time is valuable as is my own. The ripple effect is not acceptable. As a company based in customer service, I hold Budget responsible. Moving is stressful enough. The run around is inexcusable. My advise... consider other options.
