Incredible, amazing suite with a great view of the mountain! My 3 stars rating is due to an experience with one of the employees.
My husband and I checked in for a one-night stay this summer, and the first employee to greet us and help us at the resort was a man who was very rude to my husband. He kept making comments about his beard and how unruly it was (um, no. It's called he has a large beard that is combed and styled with wax), and asked us if we were attending the event in the bar that tonight (insinuating that we don't belong at this nice resort). My husband was clearly upset by this as was I, and we went down the stairs to the lobby to check in and had a good interaction with the front desk. I opted not to say anything because I thought it was just a weird fluke and that guy was just awkward and didn't know how to socialize (or maybe it was his first day or something), but sure enough when we came back to the same area a few hours later and we were dressed? for dinner, the same man at the valet saw us coming down the stairs and made a comment about how my husband 'cleaned up nicely.' You would have thought he showed up with a dirty shirt with holes in it the way this stranger was speaking to my husband, little did he know we were actually there on a PR trip to review the hotel.
Needless to say, these interactions with this same man sort of tainted our overall vibe we got from Sanctuary. We may return, but it will be a few years before we do.
