Usually our experiences at Embassy Suites are fairly good. They have a nice cocktail hour along with a decent cooked to order breakfast.
We arrived at this location and immediately noticed a rank smell. After we had gone to the room and had to go back down to the car, the smell had increased in strength. I got on the elevator and actually had to hold my nose. When I returned to the room on the elevator I mentioned something to the other person on the elevator and he agreed that there was a not so pleasant aroma. He said that he hadn't noticed it yesterday, but today it was very pronounced.
We went to dinner and sat in the bar area. The waitress was really good and the food was not bad at all. This was probably the best part of the visit.
When we decided to pull out the hide-a-bed for the kids the mattress didn't have sheet on it like they usually do. We searched the room and could not find any sheets. When giving the kids a shower we also noticed we had been given only two towels. Chinsy! We called down and requested sheets and towels. When the sheets arrived we began putting them on the mattress. The sheets had very little elastic left and the had actual holes in them. Not very good.
The room is very dated and needs to be refurbished. I would recommend that Hilton take a close look at this property and make the necessary improvements.
