If ever a company deserved ZERO STARS, it would be this one.
They displayed a popup warning on my elderly mother's computer. My Mom, who suffers from dementia, unwittingly called the number to Jupiter Support. They took control of her computer remotely, promising to "fix" her machine-- but of course they installed malware on her computer and they now have access to her personal information. They told Mom that their service was a low, low price of $399, and she handed over her credit card information.
The next day, when I got wind of it, we called her credit card company and asked them to cancel her account and issue a new credit card, as well as reverse the charges from Jupiter Support. Citibank gladly obliged. I hoped that would be the end of it.
Today my Mom called me in tears. Apparently Jupiter Support mailed her a 17-page packet of documents demanding payment. Mom is scared out of her wits.
I am sending Jupiter Support a letter notifying them that if they do not cease and desist, I will pursue legal action against them.
