| - I really wanted to find a good Banh Mi... but that does not exist at this location. They sent us chopped up Vietnamese sausage instead of the BBQ. Then sent us 'stored' steamed buns. What skip the dishes explain to me was, it's pre-made and then 'stored' aka in the refrigerator or freezer. At $2.75 a bun I figured it would at least be steamed from Frozen, not cooked then Frozen/refrigerated and then sent to me cold. Thanks... but NO THANKS.
I have no idea what their BBQ banh mi is like, because I was sent... I don't even know what they want to call that.
The chicken banh mi was not bad and the bread quality was good, but unfortunately it was not enough for this to be a repeat order.
I am really disappointed, because I was hoping for something really homemade with great flavors, and it had none of those elements period... from refrigerated steamed buns to a chopped up Vietnamese sausage instead of BBQ meat, I don't know what to make of this hot mess. But I'll cut my losses and make this my first and last at this establishment.
It remains true, cheap things aren't good and good things aren't cheap.
It's a cheap sandwich and you get what you pay for, but at $4, some flavor would be nice... even some basic sauce.
I do hope that their food quality improves... because the bread base is good, even if nothing else is. Hopefully they'll improve on this and produce a good product.
