  • Pineville Communications has been KNOWINGLY overcharging me for internet for years and I just discovered it. We've always felt our internet was the worst, but we endured because we didn't think we had any other option except TWC. I've been paying $49.99 ( plus some $3 wire fee ) for 8MBPS internet since 2012. At some point in those past 5 years, even when we called to complain about our slow speeds and such.. No one ever informed us that they have since INCREASED their service speeds AND REDUCED their prices. So currently for 10MBPS would only cost $34.99 -- That means for 2MBPS more than I am receiving, I could have been saving $15 a month. Obviously displeased with this discovery, we contacted them and they told us its our own fault for not being observant of their price adjustments over the years and they would NOT be issuing any form of refund or apology. I would have expected more from a small town business who relies on the loyalty of such a small community. I recommend everyone who has been loyal customers to Pineville communications services to actively check their website for price adjustments so you don't end up overpaying for years like I did.
