I went for my first time this past weekend. I recommend going with people who have gone before if it is your first time. I had a great time, we saw wild horses, fish and we even got to throw the football in shallow parts of the river. Whole trip from 1-4 took about 5 hours. I recommend getting there early. We took the shuttle which was nice but if you have the luxury of taking two vehicles I would do that. (Parking one at the bottom and one at the top)
A check list of what to bring if your unsure:
- an ice chest to put water, drinks, and snacks
(A disposable foam ice chest is not recommended)
- rope to tie your tubes together
- sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
- old tennis shoes or water shoes
- radio/ football
Anything of value ( credit cards, car keys) put in a pocket of swimming trucks so you know you won't lose it incase your tubes flip.
