  • Four days after our Labrador had surgery to remove a foreign object, we took him to VetMed as a precaution due to some swelling and suture leaking. Thank goodness we did. He ended up having complications from the first surgery and so he had to go through a second surgery at 8:30 to 1:30 at night! Because of their fast reaction, they were able to save Cooper's life as had it gone untreated, he would have died. The entire team there has been amazing. The front desk crew and techs warmly welcomed us and my parents when they went to visit him. They were never annoyed when I called for updates. The doctors seamlessly passed along his information and were always knowledgeable about his case. Dr. Owen, his surgeon, made me feel so at ease about having him get surgery again. Yes, people have complained about the cost and their asks for money during the process, but it is to be expected. The care might be expensive, but it was worth every cent to save our family member.
