We visit El Chorro every year as we must have their famous Sticky Buns. These things rock.
Anyhow we came for our 11:30 reservations on Super Bowl Sunday prepared for the crowds...nope place was less then half full. Strange, but nice for us.
Anywho, I ordered my usual here, the Huevos Rancheros. For some reason it's completely different here each time. It was pretty good, not what I was expecting, but good. Wifey ordered the Bacon and Eggs, sadly had to be sent back because her over medium eggs were an under cooked runny mess. Our Server had the re cooked and came out great. We also decided to split a bowl of the Chili Verde. Glad we did since I poured it over my Rancheros to liven it up a bit.
The only other gripe I have about this place is the $5 charge for parking. Just odd since they are not in the middle of down town, but out in middle of no where.
I pull up and the Valet actually says "you wanna pay me 5 bucks now or when you come out?"
If it weren't for the sticky buns that are there, I would have told him to piss off and left. Just kinda tacky for an alleged high end brunch place.
But, maybe that's why they were less then half full on the biggest weekend of the year for the Valley.
