| - I hired Maid 2 Kleen to begin monthly cleanings at my residence, starting in July. Although they spent three hours in my home, none of the ceiling fans were dusted, nor were the blinds or window sills cleaned. It appears they did do the floors and bathrooms, which were mostly good. I called Jim to find out if maybe the ceiling fans, blinds, and sills were not a standard part of cleaning. He said they were, and that maybe I was too "detail-oriented" to be satisfied. I reiterated that they were not done at all, which I'm not sure was heard because Jim has the tendency to talk over people. He also deflected blame by indicating that I failed to do an inspection prior to the ladies leaving. I was amazed that he just immediately did not come out and say, "Oh my God! I AM SO SORRY! I WOULD LIKE TO RECTIFY THIS!!" Instead, he continued to imply that maybe it was my fault, due to my being too "detail-oriented" and not inspecting the work. Anyway, he went on to say that many people are satisfied with the "average" work they do and that he will make sure the next cleaning will be better. He reluctantly gave me a discount for the shoddy work, but still never apologized. I decided to give him another shot with the hope that it would be better. But as the days went on, I never felt comfortable with the abrasive way he dealt with me, the fact that he never apologized, and that he implied that I was making it all up (the complaints). Today, I received glowing reviews about another company and decided to go with them. I informed Jim via text that I was going with another cleaning service. I also said "sorry and thanks!" He replied with, "Well - that's one way to get a discount. Good luck with that." I responded back telling him that text shows me I made the right decision, as it was so unprofessional. He replied back, blaming me for not inspecting and never showing pics (I actually did take pics but he never asked for any proof and I already was made to feel like I was complaining too much so....). He also said I misled him by saying he gave me the discount with the understanding that we will continue working together. THE DISCOUNT WAS FOR THE CRAPPY WORK! NOT FOR ANY FUTURE CLEANINGS, JIM!!!! But, whatever.....anyway, Jim's Maid 2 Kleen is not recommended, unless you like "average" work and are not too "detail-oriented."
Also, if you want to pay by credit card, they charge you extra......so lame.
