  • Having purchased a Groupon, I went to yoga classes at Hot Yoga Ahwatukee for about a month. The classes were great and incorporated variety from class-to-class (unlike Bikram yoga classes). I liked the music they played during class, and all of the instructors I had were excellent. The whole facility itself is gorgeous, from the front waiting area, locker room, and studio itself. I loved this place. So, why don't I continue classes here? It boils down to location (and to some extent, class times). Working in Chandler and living in midtown Phoenix, it was difficult to make it to the studio. Most of the time I fit in one of their classes on my way home from work, but the after-work class times still weren't ideal for this. The weekday class times I typically attended were MWF 4:30pm, M-Th 6:30pm, or T/Th 5:00pm. I found it was hard to be able to leave work early enough for the 4:30/5:00 classes, but the 6:30pm classes meant I'd have to stick around in Chandler for that long. (Borrrinnnggg.) If I still lived in Ahwatukee (as I did 5 years ago), I would still be going here, but given where I live and work now, it's just not practical. Maybe they'll open a second location in Midtown/Downtown Phoenix? (Even though their name includes the word "Ahwatukee"?) I can dream ...
