| - TERRIBLE COMPANY , DO NOT USE THEM!! HORRIBLE to deal with in every way!!!! Our car had to be towed due to an accident, so DPS called them to tow it from the freeway to a tow yard.
It was a Friday evening , the car was towed from the freeway to an "UNKNOWN ADDRESS" ... ( ???? ) .. OK ..
I called first thing Saturday AM to get the car out and was told that the person in charge of that department was "Off on the weekend " ... So I had to call back Monday.
In the meantime, of course... Charges are accruing for storage..
I waited until Monday, called at 8 am and was told that the person in that department was not in yet. She wouldn't be in until 8 or 815 , but she would call me back if I wanted to leave a message ( really ????? ).... BTW , storage charges are still accruing and another day of storage starts at 12 pm....
Shocked and waiting, I called back at 815 and she was there. I got half of the information needed and was told that I had to make an appointment with her so that the car can be picked up when they had time. I made the appointment and then was told that they take cash ONLY. Also, that I would have to sign a release form to have it released to whoever would pick it up ( a tow company or another person). Fine, I had NO problems with any of that. I made the appointment , got the address and was on my way.
I got to the shady yard and there was a pick up truck waiting for me. No business lot , just a guy in a pick up truck... I signed the release and he told me that he didn't have change... WHAT ???? OK , well seeing as my charge was 181.00 and I had 200 with me, I wasn't going to give him an extra 19.00 , so I left to go get change. ( they didn't say bring EXACT change when I was on the phone with the lady in the AM )... So I went to get change, brought it back, paid the man and then was told the tow company had to call the woman at the office and make a separate appointment to pick up the vehicle because they didn't have time to stay there.. I had the tow company scheduled for about an hour from that time already.I told the guy this and he said to call the person at the office.
I called her and said I wanted to make the appointment for my tow guy to be there an hour from then. I also stated that I was told by her AND the tow guy that I had to just sign a release for the tow company and I didn't physically have to be there. SHE BLEW UP and started talking about things that didn't pertain to my conversation or issues with them at all , so I stopped her and said, I wasn't talking about money.. That was taken care of , but about the release and she continued to say I TOLD YOU THAT THIS MORNING ! ( which she told me about 2-3 different things ) and then said YOU ARE RUDE and hung up the phone on me... WOW ... great customer service huh?
I then continued to call her back because I was stuck at the lot and she picked up the phone and literally hung up on me again without saying a word to me. I called for the THIRD time and someone else picked up and I asked to please speak to a manager or someone other than her so that I could get this taken care of.
Keep in mind-- I am sitting at some car yard, in some hidden place, I had my 9 year old son in the back seat the whole time and trying to deal with this.
I spoke to a supposed manager , he was trying to take care of the situation but I am not dumb.. I know he is probably used to this from people and was just trying to problem solve the situation and get rid of me.
My problem was , nobody would give me a CLEAR answer on if I had to be there when my tow guy came or not. When it was said and done, I got 5 different answers from the same company.
UNBELIEVABLE!
PLUS I had to pay 60.00 in extra storage fees because of some woman's day off. Well, they WERE open , but since she wasn't there to make the "appointment" with, I had to wait an extra 2 days. This makes NO sense to me at all , nor any other person I have spoken to about it, including law enforcement.
There will be a complaint made on this company forsure and I am positive that I am not the only one who will be filing complaints if others haven't already....
There are many other legit tow company's out there, I think DPS needs to re-think their contract with these people and if you are a different company or a individual about to use them, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't .... They are unfair in pricing and their customer service is horrible and most importantly , they make you jump through many hoops to get your vehicle back....
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN 0 STARS ON THE RATING I WOULD HAVE..... BUT PLEASE don't put yourself where I was .....
