  • Destination XL has a great variety of apparel for folks who are underserved by traditional department stores. This was my first trip to a big and tall store. The department stores just don't have enough of a selection in my size. I was the smallest patron in the store that day, which was nice. *smiley face* But it turns out that I'm a tweener - too big for the traditional clothing store and not quite big enough for the big and tall store. *sad face* My new job requires business casual wear; I have plenty of suits and jeans, but no business casual pants. I was impressed by the selection here. The nice sales lady just turned me loose...I must have tried on 15 pairs of pants before finding the ones that fit well. The clothing was high quality and the pricing was fair. I was impressed! Some general observations about big and tall stores: --- All of the employees were skinny. Can't you find a fat guy to be a salesman? I'm telling you, they would rake! --- Sizing means nothing here, even less than it does at a normal department store. I could hike some of the pants up to my chest. Elastic waistbands are fairly awesome. Take your time and find what works for you - it's probably here. If you're big and/or tall, I highly recommend this place. The employees here are the best - extremely patient and exceedingly nice. Give it a try!
