| - This hotel is a disgrace to the Marriott name. We were at the front desk seeking assistance and the clerk ignored us while she stood there folding wash clothes the first night. It wasn't until she was completely done with her stack that she even acknowledged us. We had to be up at 4:30 am the next day for an early class; after a long, exhausting day, we returned at 7:00pm with dinner in hand, hoping for a hot shower, dinner and some time to relax. As we walked towards our room, the carpet was sopping wet and we wondered what had happened. We got to our door and started to open it and one of the staff said, "There's no water tonight. You can get another hotel if you want," in a very rude way. So we gathered our things and went to the nearby Courtyard hotel. I was afraid to even turn the lights on in the room at Fairfield to repack because there was water everywhere and I did not want to be accidentally electrocuted! My first thought was that someone should have tried to call us because it could have been difficult to find a room in town on short notice. As we checked out, the staff was again, very rude, did not care enough to even apologize for the situation or inconvenience. Thankfully, the Courtyard hotel nearby was very kind, had friendly staff and helped us. Later, we tried addressing the situation with the Fairfield hotel manager and he was even more rude than the staff had been! We called Marriott and customer service tried to be helpful despite the trouble the manager was also giving them. To sum it up...do NOT stay here...the Courtyard nearby is great and Marriott is great...this hotel and its management is the WORST!
