For our 2017 annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas, we booked a room at the Orleans Hotel. We have always booked on the Strip, but this year we decided to stay off the strip. Our main reason was parking fees. The Orleans Hotel is one of the few hotels where parking is still free.
We stayed at the Orleans two nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked early in September, so we were able to get a low rate. For the two nights, including room, tax, and resort fee, we paid $126. This was the cheapest rate we were able to obtain. The Orleans Hotel allows early check-ins beginning at 1:00 p.m.
The room was very spacious with a window facing the strip. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had all the amenities that one expects in a more expensive hotel. A safe deposit box is also included in the room.
A new security measure was adopted at the Orleans. In order to take the elevator to your floor destination, you must show your key card. Not sure how effective this security check is as I observed it is loosely implemented!
The newly remodeled all-you-can-eat buffet offers an all-day pass for $33.00. This pass is good all day from 8:00 a.m. until close time. The food was good and the service was excellent.
Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Orleans. If we decide to visit Las Vegas in 2018, the Orleans Hotel will be our first choice.
