  • I recently bought an awesome car from Vegas Motorcars. I had the pleasure of working with Juan Paillot. Juan totally demolished the myth of the used-car salesman. He was friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and went out of his way to satisfy a potential buyer (me) from out of state. He was responsive even answering questions after hours. His low-pressure sales approach built credibility. I was concerned about another buyer's feedback over not receiving the title for over a year - a huge deal if you're not a local buyer. Juan said the feedback was for a different business with a similar name but I needed to protect myself. Juan and his owner showed understanding and flexibility, adjusting their process and working with my lender and me to ensure my concerns were mitigated. In the end, I ended up flying in on a one-way ticket from Seattle. After satisfying myself that the car was what they said it was, I drove it back home via the scenic route. Juan had kindly not only had the car go through a thorough BMW dealer inspection before I got there, but detailed the car, changed the oil and filled the tank. He saw me off with an abundant supply of bottled water and a friendly wave. My willingness to research a car online, fly out and drive back meant I got an amazing deal on a car with custom matte paint, low miles and BMW Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) warranty. I could have shipped the car but driving back in my new ride was way more fun. PS. A word of caution to anyone looking to buy a car from out of state: always make sure you have an out and be prepared to walk away. I only completed the paperwork and handed over the check after ensuring everything was on the up and up. Importantly, make sure the dealer is legit - in my case, I found Vegas Motorcars to be a bonafide dealer, with a terrific rep in Juan.
