| - First, let me just say that I've never been to a hockey game in my life, so I can't evaluate it as a sporting arena (it does seem like it would be a decent place to catch a game, no bad seats or anything ... and if it's as cheap as everyone says, all the better). However, as a concert venue it is simply atrocious.
The sound. Oh my word, the sound. I can't even explain how bad the sound quality at this place was, but it's probably the worst I've heard. It really puts a damper on a show because the artists aren't happy/can't play properly and have to keep adjusting things.
Also, I had a GA/floor ticket and when we went in they checked our tickets and gave us wristbands. But I don't know why because every time I left to get a drink or use the washroom, the security made me show my ticket to get back down on the floor.
Finally, getting to Exhibition by transit isn't a joyride, but it's not the worst place either. The 509 from Union and the 511 Bathurst streetcar run about every 10-15 minutes and the stop is right in back of the venue (unlike the trek you have to make to get to Ontario Place/Molson).
