horrible experience. Every time he did amalgam on me, he never got it right at first place. Always too high so every time I chewed, I felt electronic shock. So I needed to call the office to get it adjusted. It happened twice already. TWICE!!!!! He only checked the bite once after putting amalgam and never asked me to grind back and forth or side to side (No wonder he never gets it right at first place right?) You are going to be in pain or feel uncomforting after anesthesia wears off if the restoration is way too high.
I went to him because I found fractured restoration on # 13 that had been done in 10 years ago. I knew it was not that big restoration. He made it really big when he did it and now the amalgam covered almost 2/3 of my tooth. First time he did on # 13, he made it open contact. He needed to redo # 13 and made it too high this time. Now it fractured 3 days ago while I was flossing (it's been only 5 months). And he was telling me, "If it fractures again, then you might need a crown on it. So be careful. It is a pretty big restoration." Did he ever tell me that it is a big restoration so there is chance that it is going to be fracture at first visit? Hell no. Did he tell me that it is better to get a crown since it is a big restoration at first visit? Hell no. Did he ever give me an alternative treatment? Hell no.....
I will never come back to Dr. Tang ever again.... Ever!!
Btw I am in dental school and I know what's going on in dentistry.
P.s
I showed the # 13 to my dental school friends when he first did it. All my friends were like, "It is just a huge restoration. No anatomy at all. Also I see open contact.. hahaha where did you go, rachel?? LOL "
Assistants are really nice though.
