| - before you disregard this review and thinks it's just another bashful previous tenant trying to degrade the apartment for her own issues, believe me- it's not.
let me start by clarifying that i am always honest in my review & will not make up nonsense just to justify my point. i've searched high & low for a modern apartment that is affordable in vegas...comes volare. brand new, wood floor & wash/dryer- which were truly my only criteria. i was one of the OG, one of the first people to move into the community & the first person to ever live in my unit.
the location is great, right off the 15 yet just far enough to drown out the traffic noises. shopping was convenient & it took me about 15 mins to get to work (aria). the exterior and interior of this community is decent in my book- it's homey yet modern and i was absolutely in love with my studio. i stayed on the third floor with elevator access which was great even though it moved slow, it would've been faster if you had just taken the flights of stairs but if you had to carry something heavy it was always useful. my wood floors throughout the unit was one of my favorite part about living in volare, not to mention the upgraded appliances, the gigantic double door fridge & the well planned layout of my unit.
now, lets get to the parts in honesty of why i decided to give this place two stars despite of all that.
- the amount of dog feces throughout the property is horrifying. i've actually made a legit complaint to management twice & they finally came to this problem with a poo print plan that involved all of the residents bringing in their pets for a DNA sample in hopes of catching the people that are not cleaning up after their pets. this DID improve the problem, but honestly- the ACTUAL issue was that the dumpster were such a far walk for the tenants to walk to and there were no trash cans anywhere throughout the property that people just got lazy. if you wanted to make a pet friendly apartment you should provide your residents with the convenience of waste stations. it was unfortunate because this property was new & beautiful but it got ugly so fast.
- the appliances were new but you can see the incompetent job in details throughout the unit. the water has stopped unexpectedly a couple of times causing inconvenience as well as the elevator not working for weeks at a time. it is a new community i understand but all that was nothing until i was concerned about my safety. about a month or two after officially settling in- i came home from a trip to find the key hole to my door completely drilled in. leo, the one & only maintenance guy for the community came and replaced my lock for me. he told me it was a definite break in, someone had deliberately brought a drill to my door to try to get in. i mentioned this to the apartment and no one contacted me to follow up or did anything about it. thankfully, it never happened again but can you imagine the concern of living alone & not knowing who's going to drill through your lock next?
- here's the reason why i rated volare so low. a girl who's name starts with a C and ends with a L that works in the leasing office. i have never in my entire life met someone with a worst attitude. i don't think i have ever seen her smile once, which is a shame because she's pretty. but wow, this was the most unpleasant & miserable girl in the world. she always looked like you just walked in and bothered her or interrupted her game of mine sweepers. she never calls back when she says she would after your requests. she has never once apologized for any sort of inconvenience. she once called me & said a neighbor of mine complained about my "loud music" even though i was out of town. instead of asking & checking the facts, she was rude and accusative. after telling her it couldn't have possibly been me as i wasn't home she didn't at all apologize. she is honestly the reason why volare left me with such a horrible taste in my mouth. i have worked in the hospitality and customer service industry all my life and that is not the way you treat people. i have no idea how she was hired or is even still there & if you're reading this, girl...please go do something that makes you happy for the sake of all future tenants.
as many years as i've rented, moving out is NEVER a pleasant process. i had to pay $1800 to break my lease, which was fine. but after thinking i was done with this place i got a letter saying i owed them money ($2k+). this was a mistake from the online payment service & the manager chris got it resolved. however, it was a pain in the ass & did not resolve the way as i wish it would. getting my deposit back was also difficult.
i wanted to give this place one star, which makes me sad because i loved it here so much and recommended to others. (funny how one person can ruin it all) but the extra star was for leo- the maintenance guy. you are on point & always reliable. volare needs more people like you
