Dr Sherm would not explain the diagnosis or test results with my wife. My wife told her in front of me that she did not understand what was wrong with her or why she had to see a surgeon and apparently Dr. Sherm didn't know either or maybe just wasn't able to explain why she was referring us to a surgeon or even elaborate on her diagnosis which in itself was vague. She told us that she does "not know anything about breasts". This female Doctor actually told us that in those words that she doesn't know anything about breasts. SMH...She then stated that she really isn't anything more than a primary care Doc. Her office even called us this morning before the appointment and when my wife asked them why they called they didn't know. Dr. Sherm said they were calling because they didn't know why my wife had made an appointment even though it was a follow up to an ongoing problem. I believe that stating my education would be counter-productive here, I just have to say to Dr. Sherm you shouldn't talk to your patients like they're idiots. You'd be surprised to learn the knowledge and/or education some of us have. Nonetheless, it's your job to effectively communicate with your patients and you greatly failed to do so when my wife and I were in your office today.
