Being a Henderson resident that prefers to live life in the slower lane, I prefer to drive on the less traveled Arroyo Grande Drive in lieu of the parallel heavily traveled Stephanie Street. Right off Arroyo Grande Drive is a grande Shell station that I have patronized.
In similar style to the less traveled Arroyo Grande Drive, it's only Shell station appears to be less busy than the nearby gas stations alongside Stephanie Street. Getting in and out of the gas station is easy. Likewise finding an available pump has been relatively easy. The fuel islands are nicely spaced where there is plenty of room for vehicles to maneuver. Adjacent to the fuel islands is a smog inspection station. As a side note, taking into account that this Shell is near the DMV, it's smog station can come in handy.
Inside the Shell is a clean convenience store that reminds me of a Maverick. In the past I had used the convenience store more as a hiker than a driver. This Shell sits off Arroyo Grande a short distance from both Cornerstone Park and the Arroyo Sports Complex. Before they built the new Starbuck's and Chevron at Stephanie Street and Wigwam Parkway (I still use Stephanie Street when necessary) this was the only convenience store by the park where I can get a cold beverage. When I walked around Cornerstone Park or did the far longer walk onto the Pitman Wash Trail, I would leave the park then walk a few hundred feet along the Union Pacific Railroad right of way to Shell for a refreshing beverage. When I park at Cornerstone Park this is still the convenient business to buy a refreshing beverage. As a side note, if I wanted to grab a snack, I could eat it at a picnic table at the right of the building.
There is no additional fee for the convenience of this easy in easy out gas station. The price of fuel is competitively priced. The best savings is time and lower blood pressure.
