  • This review is long overdue but here it is. A few months back I was looking to replace my front of the house sprinkler lines because I was sick of constantly patching it. I tried three landscapers and sprinkler companies that either did not call me, did not come out and give me an estimate as promised or told me they were too busy. Absolutely absurd, considering I wanted to replace the entire front sprinkler system. I called Affordable Sprinkler and Jason came out and gave me an estimate (at the day and within the time range he said) to replace my front lines with PVC instead of the builder grade trash tube every house seems to have. He also quoted me a price to the backyard in PVC as well (which I wanted to do but was originally not planning on for cost). I had a leak in my yard at the time, and needed it patched or replaced before I left the country for 2 weeks. I thanked Jason and told him I would let him know. He was super courteous and informative. I then was able to get one other company to come out and quote it (2 out of 5 is terrible I think...what is the deal with sprinkler/landscapers?). They quoted me the exact same price as Jason. Well, 3 days before I left on my trip, I called Affordable back and told them I needed the line at least patched before I decided and that I was leaving, and the owner (I think) told me they would patch the line for free for me before I left so I would not have to worry, and that Jason would call me. I still had not heard anything the day before I left, so I called Jason directly and he told me there must have been a miscommunication, but that he would come THAT NIGHT after he finished his last job and fix it for me. True to his word, Jason came that evening and patched my leak...and then when testing it, found ANOTHER leak. He stayed and patched that one as well, and when testing it...FOUND YET ANOTHER LEAK. He patched the THIRD leak all free of charge on his time. Top shelf work and commitment there. Needless to say, I scheduled the job to replace my entire front and back yards with PVC tubing, which took 4 days of work. Jason brought two other workers out and they dug up and replaced all my piping, plus even bagged up and threw away a few large bags worth of leaves and branches from my yard that they did not have to. Jason was pretty much always on time and available when he said, other than one minor unavoidable reschedule. He told me there would be a 1 year warranty on all the parts and labor so that if anything happened at all, he would come out and fix it free. I even had a minor flow issue a couple of days later, and he came out the next day and fixed it (turned out to be some dirt caught in one of the sprinkler heads) without complaint. Jason was always very thorough, answered all questions and explained stuff thoroughly. Overall, about the best experience I could have hoped for in a sprinkler company, especially considering my other experiences. My question is...if a guy wants to replace his entire yard front and back with PVC tubing and as a residential landscape/sprinkler company you do not want or can't be bothered with the business...what other jobs are you actually taking? There are not too many more expensive jobs when it comes to residential sprinkler work. At least Jason was interested and committed to the job and did great work.
