  • I have never felt compelled to write a review here before. But because I had used Yelp to find this company, I thought if I saved one person from the experience I had, it would be worth my time to share. I called Bill before Halloween asking for a bid on scrubs, steps and lighting. He came out a few days later and told me that he would have his concrete guy out to get his part of the estimate and that he would get a full estimate to me in less than a week. Well, 10 days later I had still not received a bid. I emailed and he told me he was camping and that he would get it to me in a few days. The following week, I see the concrete guys in my yard. Obviously he had not asked them to come out two weeks ago, as he had said that he did. Anyway, I still did not receive a bid by the next Monday. I emailed him AGAIN...this time being told that the message had been sent but must be "lost in the cloud". Wow. I can only imagine if I used that one on my customers. So, later that day I finally did receive a quote. The job was fairly priced versus other landscapers, so after making a few other calls, I decided to use Domestic. I emailed him telling him I accepted the quote and asked when the job could take place. He told me the following week, but threw in that I would need to get additional electrical work done that was not included in the quote, before the job could be started. I was floored. Every other quote I had received was the cost of the entire job, not part of the job. Why would you get a concrete guy for that part of the job and add that to the quote, but not an electrician for the other part? Unsure what was going on, I emailed him that I thought the quote was for the complete job, and that it would take time for me to now get an electrician out to get an additional quote, not to mention I was not even sure what their part of the job required. He emailed me back the next day saying that he would just have to pass on the job, as he was "too busy around the holidays". So, to be fair, this review is not on the quality or pricing of the work. This review is on trying to get the pricing and the work actually done. I spent over a month with this company only to get told he is "too busy" when I questioned a shady bidding strategy. There are a lot of other companies out there that are more honest, professional and attentive to their customers. Obviously I will be going with a company that is not too busy for me. Beware.
