| - This was the first vinyl store I checked out here in Vegas. They have a decent, if incomplete, short on rarities, store. There's actually two. One is great. The one by the college. The other is pretty weak. But both have a good enough used section, with absolute bargains randomly placed under the shelves
I saw some classics for $3 .I checked out the quality, looking for scratches, anything horrible, and they were in good shape. The givers might be a bit sketchy, it the inner sleeve and lyric sheets might be missing. But, it's great for building your collection, if all you care about is numbers.
I prefer quality of quantity
These guys seem to be the most affordable v in town, fun what I can tell. Some of the smaller shops are price gouging like crazy people. They get a bit greedy themselves, in terms of what they'll pay you for your used albums. You can bring in a 180 gram, brand new, $30 dollar album, and they'll offer you $5 ...AT MOST
Another issue. .
This store uses too much store space for junk,toys,t-shirts,etc. It's barely a record store. So, don't expect a great selection. These guys are good for building your collection with whatever they happen to have that week. New albums are there. If your looking for a some 70s vinyl, look under the shelves. I saw Rumours for 3 bucks, Frampton Comes Alive for $5 (around there)
They have a very skimpy punk section. Not much in the way of indie labels either.
A big plus...
They will order any album you want and emailyou when it arrives.
This isnt my favorite vinyl source in town. But,I do go there if I want a bunch of vinyl cheap. You won't get that from Wax Trax or Moondog. That's for sure
