Sad to say that my great local Sears Auto Center is no more. My wife waited for a flat tire to be repaired and after 4-1/2 hours was told they "we're short staff and would need it overnight." Are you kidding me, its a 10 minute repair and it took almost five hours to come to that conclusion? Why did I have to make a call to find out what's going on? Maybe a call from them earlier letting us know so we could make other arrangements to get our kids to school. Conveniently no manager was available to talk and the two guys in the office were full of excuses; "you should have made an appointment, you should leave it overnight, blah blah blah..." I picked the car up five minutes later at 5:45 PM and drove across the street to Big O. I was worried showing up 10 minutes before they close that they would ask me to come back tomorrow. The complete opposite happened. They grabbed my keys and jumped right on it. They didn't know anything about our Sears experience and did the repair as they normally would. Michael was very professional and kept me informed while the repair was made. At 6:00 PM I drove out of there with the flat fixed and a happy wife waiting for me at home.
We WILL NOT be using the Sears Auto Center anymore and I will be make sure to terminate my fleet account with Sears.
