Last Saturday night, we were headed for a night out at l'Écurie to meet a someone. Unfortunately we were met by a not-so-long-but-completely-still line up. We stuck it out for about 20 minutes in the cold, but when my toes started to fall off and we got sick of watching the doorman let his mates in, we looked up another place to go within a 2-3 block radius (Yay for Iphones!), and we figured we'd try La Quincaillerie.
1st point for La Quincaillerie: no line up!
2nd point: we found a table right away, and that's not always easy for 6 people...
3nd point: awesome drinks menu!
4th point: wicked board games!
I loved how spacious yet cozy it was. And I could have tried all the cocktails on the menu. I'll have to go back because I ended up getting tempted by the Snake Bite, a reminder of my good old Aussie days...
The staff was very nice, even helping out for an absent player during our game of Clue.
Would definitely go back for a laid back evening with some friends!
Little extra point: Going there let me finally find out where the famous Banquise was (I don't live in Montreal, my apologies for my ignorance :) ).
