I like Island Sushi & Grill because it is ideal for groups that include both sushi lovers and those that will not nosh on raw fish. While it is not my favorite place in town for sushi, it's a very solid option, and I have never been disappointed with any of the non-sushi items I've gotten.
Most of my visits to Island Sushi & Grill have been to pick up to go orders (and poke from Poke Express, located in the back) and these experiences have always been solid. To-go orders have always been ready when they said they would be, packaged up properly and handed over by a smiling employee.
On my most recent visit I took 3 out of towners:
My brother-in-law and his wife aren't big on sushi so they got items from the grill side of the menu while a friend and I both did ACYE. Pricing for AYCE is in line with most spots in town. There are some limitations on the menu (the standards: certain items can only be ordered at dinner, some are limited to one per person, no sharing). All of the sushi we ordered was excellent, nigiri was cut well and had a good fish to rice ratio. My in-laws were pleased with their selections, and we all left happy and very full for a great price.
On Sundays, Island Sushi & Grill does an AYCE brunch that I am looking forward to trying soon. If you love sushi but also love to dine with people are don't care for it, give Island Sushi & Grill a try.
