  • Rare are the moments in life when I can walk into an establishment and just feel like "yeah, this place gets me." Oh Grouchy John's, I couldn't have created a better shop myself. A pearl in the desert, this shop offers a place where people who are both athletic and nerdy (an odd combination, I know) can feel at home. The menu boasts different healthy juices, smoothies, and coffees for those looking to get their java buzz on. The walls are covered with paintings of Daleks, Storm Troopers, and other Sci-Fi stuff that I'm pretty sure is created by local artists. I always order the Yoda because STAR WARS and also because this chilly, green blend manages to make kale delicious. How do they do it? I think the secret ingredient is The Force. Yes. That must be it.
