  • I'm going to start by saying that this review is not from malice, but that Echo used to be one of my favorite places and I hope to see the level of care and customer service it one had - but if serious changes aren't made, I don't know that it'll be around in another year or two.. Went in on July 4th, it wasn't too busy and ordered a large latte, went to pay with my card and the internet was down so was asked "do you have cash?" Luckily I had $6 on me for my bill of $5.25, I paid and went to take a seat. I had all my books in hand and there were about 5 open tables, all covered with crumbs and dirty - so I grabbed a napkin to clean my own off and sat down and started reading as I was there to study. About 5-7 minutes passed and I saw there was now a small line, I walked to the front and was asked by the same younger kid "Can I help you?". I asked on the status of my coffee and he said he should be able to get to it shortly... About 17 minutes from ordering I finally got it.. I felt bad it looked as the kid was there by himself!! This probably explained why it was taking to long and the tables were dirty... by himself, register issues, making the coffee, cleaning tables, busing empty cups, etc... tough to do it all as 1 person!!! But I then noticed that he wasn't, the OWNER was there on his laptop looking at coffee makers while this poor kid was drowning in orders and running the register by himself and the place was filthy. Then I started looking around at the place probably in my own head looking for the issues... -The tables were filthy. -The floors were filthy. -The walls scuffed, maybe never cleaned. -Under the couches, disgusting. -The tops of the bins they use to roast their own coffee - ew. -The lights, maybe never dusted, ever. -The catch under the water dispenser.. worse than a dirty fish tank. The good news here - the coffee is great, and these are all easy to fix. Please either clean this stuff, make it a job task for your employees, or hire a cleaning company!! But there is only 1 person to look at here, and that's the OWNER who was also there for at least 2 hours I was there so no excuse and no blame on anyone else. Please feel free to write back and I'll try it again and update my post. In the meantime... hope the health inspector doesn't come because that place is gross.
