I followed Hannah and Anita here from their previous salon in the beach. I was asked to move my appointment from 10 to 12. No big deal. Turns out they meant they only wanted to move my colour appt and not my full appt. So I missed my cut with Hannah and she was fully booked for the rest of the day. They had me see another stylist. What ensued was a really frustrating experience for all involved. I was there for SIX HOURS! I brought in pictures of what I wanted (a long pixie). The idea was that I'd have my hair cut and then do my colour so I wouldn't spend money for bleach to just end up on the floor. Because the schedule was now rushed, they decided to do a quick cut, colour, clean up the cut. The initial cut was an asymmetrical long bob. It was sort of like a reverse mullet. I was assured that more would be cut later and I assumed that we had just run out of time and my colour had to get rolling. Onto colour... I wanted allover blonde - one colour (showed pictures again!). Should have been a quick and easy dye job. I ended up with highlights that took forever because of my stupid thick hair. The colour ended up looking pretty good, though still not what I asked for. Back to the cut for round two... It eventually became clear that this asymmetrical reverse mullet was here to stay. I offered to show the pictures again. The stylist declined. Eventually, I hear "what do you think?" and I had to say "this is not at all what I asked for." We eventually got close to what I was looking for, but it took a lot of direction on my part and SIX HOURS! And to add insult to injury, it cost nearly $100 more than I have ever paid for a cut and highlights.
I felt bad for everyone involved because their schedules had been thrown for a loop and other appointments ended up getting delayed. Though I feel if I had been given what I asked for from the get go, my appointment would have been at least two hours shorter and I wouldn't have missed a BBQ!
