| - Stopped by for a quick lunch today... it has been a couple of years since my last visit, but everything seemed pretty much the same. We had the fish tacos (panko-breaded salmon) and a shrimp tempura roll. The tacos were pretty yummy, although I thought the "guac" was rather interesting - they must use green peas to make the (expensive) avocado go further. It wasn't bad... just different. We added the sweet potato fries for just an extra buck... good call! They were deliciously crispy, sweet, and salty. Mmm. The tempura roll was a little underwhelming. First off, it was approximately 2 inches in diameter. Now, I'm not exactly a sushi connoisseur, but I couldn't fit an entire piece in my mouth... and it is WAY to hard to eat half a piece, you know? They used carrot in the roll... which wouldn't have been a problem, except for it was large chunks of carrot (the size of half a baby carrot). It was really distracting from the texture I expect in a tempura roll... they should just call it a Carrot Roll, since that is all you notice with that big ol' crunch!
All-in-all, it was a pleasant lunch with pleasant service. A few tweaks to the food would help bump it up in my book.
