  • We have lived in the area for almost 15 years and I would not go here because of a puny FF&D elsewhere, that was useless & had virtually no groceries. Husband insisted we go just this once because of the free coupons we got in the mail - free eggs, free mayo & free hot dogs (for our dogs). I was pleasantly surprised. This store is nothing like the one we had been in 40 odd miles away. I was especially impressed with the organic veggie area - great selection, all very fresh. Unfortunately, all of my thoughts up to this time, were beaten down by the cashier, Nisha. She said none of the coupons matched the items. So, I asked the bagger to get out the eggs, mayo & hot dogs and I asked Nisha why they did not match. She paused and then said "okay, these two match but not this one". I asked why the eggs didn't match the coupon - what was wrong with them. She refused to answer and just looked at me. I told her they were not organic, not cage free and were large and exactly matched the coupon. I repeated, tell me what is it is about these eggs that doesn't match the coupon? She looked at the coupon and then was silent, refusing to budge. I persisted. What is it about the eggs that doesn't match the coupon? She finally turned to the next cashier and mumbled something to her that I couldn't hear. That cashier told her loud and clear "give them to her". So she pretended to take off the eggs and told me how much we owed. I saw the window where prices were listed. I asked her where does it show that you took off the eggs. At that point, I should have reported her. She gave me a face, knowing I caught her and then reluctantly took off the eggs. Husband paid and we left. It is cashiers like her who destroy businesses. Prior to her, I was planning on shopping here regularly, given the good size of the store, a great selection of produce, especially organic produce. And we did not get just the free items. We spent a fair amount of money that time - got numerous other items and 4 or 5 organic produce choices. You know, I think I will report her because I would like to go back there and I sure don't feel good about it after that experience. I don't know what was up her behind. We are just normal people, normal looking, normal size. I just don't understand it thus, the 2 star rating. Otherwise, I would have given it 4.
