  • This guy is a riot! Old rocker dude vibe - used to own a bakery in the city for 20 yrs - bought this place off of "Cafe Olya" owners Mike & Oly - who were able to secure a primo spot on parliament street (540 Parliament Street Toronto, ON - we are happy for them too) Previous owners wanted it to remain a cafe, so the new owner (who's wife runs the upholstery and interior design company down the street) has generously remained faithful to his promise, and is adding fresh baked goods, cinnamon rolls, gorgeous popovers and pastries. And a line of gourmet breads as well. YUM! Sure to be fresh every morning as he starts baking at 5:30am. His commitment to quality? You get your ground coffee in a mason jar. No going stale in some paper coffee bag. He is planning a gluten free line as well. (my challenge to him is going to be a yummy gluten free, egg free, soy free cupcake! for some family members... not sure what's left in the world to put in that, but I think he'll be game) Enjoy the southern rock/ blues / jazz compilation he's got goin' on in the background - excellent. Thus, I am an especially happy gal when I get to escape out of the office for my coffee (or soon to be London Fog once the tea is ordered), a jar-'o-joe-to-go, and a hair appointment at the studio next door!
