This place has potential. A restaurant doesn't need to be beautiful or spotless to be great. You can do without friendly service. All you really need is good food.
Myself, Dining Partner, and two others came around 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. We were maybe 1 group of 4 in the place. We got the 3 piece fried chicken with mac and cheese and collard greens as our sides. It took awhile but once it arrived, the food was good. We ended up getting a free piece of drenched chicken because the waiter couldn't remember who it went to. The drenched chicken was better than the fried chicken. They ran out of ice, so we had room temperature water and our cornbread came out after we had already finished our chicken. Maybe the waiter was new; he was definitely overwhelmed. I probably wouldn't return to eat-in but I think takeout would be the way to go.
