| - This post is specifically about the flooring department and the manager Augustine. We requested a floor measurement and lowes sent out a company named Cesar's. Cesar's informed us that they would give lowes the estimate by Saturday. We called tarting Sunday, even went down on Monday to check the estimate we kept getting the excuse of they don't know why they don't have the estimate yet. We were told to check with the installation dept, who in turn said they have nothing to do with it. Tuesday we called and were told to call Dennis back at 1:00, as noone else was allowed to give us the estimate, and he apparently left for an hour. Called back at 2:10 and found that Dennis wasn't in at all that day until 2:00. I had asked to speak with a manager and it happened to be Augustine. Augustine gave me the estimate pretax but couldn't tell me the tax. He also told me the estimate had been there since Monday. I asked why we weren't told Monday or Tuesday when we called. He didn't have an answer. He asked to transfer me to Dennis and I requested not to be. I then stated that I was very disappointed and as I was reading the statements of 'why choose lowes' I couldn't agree with one statement. They were not reliable, not friendly, etc. I told him I regretted paying almost $40 got an estimate which took days to get and with extreme unprofessionalism. He then quickly put me on hold to transfer me, after I asked him not to transfer me. Now from the over a week that this took I could tell the flooring department is terribly ran. Dennis is extremely nice however he is apparently the only person that has any knowledge or control over the department. 1 person to work with everyone, not okay. That is definitely the first issue. My main issue is that the manager was extremely short, couldn't answer questions, and handled this situation very poorly. I would suggest using a different store for flooring, and possibly anything else needed.
