  • Seriously, just do not do business with David's Bridal. I did not receive anything close to exceptional service like one would hope when buying a dress for the biggest day of their life! I bought a dress being told that I could alter it the way I wanted no problem. Come to find out, that is not possible. I have contacted DB's corporate to see if they would accept a return and they placated me by saying they would open a report but they are a "final sale" store so it would be pending review of the store's actions. I have already found another dress from a store that has 100% satisfaction guarantee. Funny how a much smaller company is willing to make sure that you absolutely love your purchase with them but this corporation is not. I guess that's how the wedding industrial complex works: overcharge for mediocre products and then tell you you're stuck with it when you're not happy! Surprise surprise, this is the response I received from corporate: "Hello, Thank you for patience while we worked on researching your issue. We regret to inform you that we will be unable to accept the dress back as a return, however we would be able to accept it back as an exchange for an item or items totaling equal to or greater than in value. Had you brought this issue to our alterations team first they would have been more than willing to help make the dress fit and feel correctly for you, which they would still be willing to do. However, since we are a final sale company we cannot accept the return and can only do an exchange. We do apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause." 1. How does a company seriously expect someone to spend $800 in store credit if it is not on another dress? 2. I spoke to someone in-store while my bridesmaids were trying on dresses and she made a comment that my bridesmaids would really appreciate if I just paid for their dresses with the credit I would receive from my return. She said it while my bridesmaids were standing there like she was getting them to agree and pressure me into buying all their dresses. UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
